How to play: control mental model

Think in three layers: choose intent, execute the gesture cleanly, then read the result like you would after a net session — adjust grip pressure and timing rather than mashing inputs.

  1. Before the ball — observe the bowler approach rhythm. Faster pacing leaves less reaction time; use practice modes to stabilise your eyes on the release point.
  2. Shot selection — map swipe direction and length to the corridor you want to access. Avoid changing your mind halfway through the motion; commitment reduces mistimed edges.
  3. Timing window — treat early and late connections as teachable data. Note pitch zones where you tend to rush; slow down mentally on those lengths.
  4. Bowling side — when you bowl, sequence variation before raw pace. Swing, seam, and spin each ask for different defensive shot responses from the AI batter.
  5. Difficulty tuning — if the product exposes AI sliders for aggression or fielding sharpness, move one notch at a time. Large jumps obscure which variable caused a swing in outcomes.

Reading the HUD

Keep an eye on required rate, field spread, and bowler stamina if shown. Rotating strike is not glamorous, but it resets field pressure and protects partners in multi-innings formats.
